COMPETITION WRAP UP!

Posted on Friday 1 May 2009

Our two elementary competitions were held April 3 (Long Beach) and 24 (San Jose). Grades 4-6 had a full slate of categories in which they participated, and they had more freedom to choose areas since the academic portion of the competition was held in January. Grades 1-3 recited Bible passages and poetry as a warm up to the “big time” in the upper grades.

Hundreds were present at these two venues. We pray that God uses the experience to touch young hearts and minds.

Pastors-Administrators-Key Faculty Retreat

Posted on Sunday 26 April 2009

A worthwhile 24 hours at Ironwood! During our retreat, those who attended reviewed your survey responses and developed lists of weighted ideas pertaining to our convention, competition, religious liberties, and services.

More info will be coming your way.

While at Ironwood, we did the following, based on Philippians 3:10-14:

L - Look back     E - Exchange ideas     A - Analyze plans     P - Project growth

We looked at who we are, what we do, why we do what we do, and where we are going.

Results? A ministry that will keep growing with you. Thank you for those of you who were able to represent your school at Ironwood. If you could not go, be sure you complete the on-line survey you were sent and include comments.
